selle italia carbon rail torque settings

does anyone know the torque setting for selle italia carbon seat rails, as it doesn't tell you in the leafet you get with the seat
eating parmos since 1981

    I'm fairly sure it'll depend on the seatpost clamp as presumably a 2 bolt will be a lot lower than a single bolt post.

    Generally 5-8Nm - but does vary from seatpost maker to make. Just fitted a Thoork Team Ed to Easton EC90 - and used 5Nm
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    fizik carbon rails are 8Nm, can't imagine SI being much different.

    Monty dog and formerly known are both correct. Do not go over 8Nm.

    Alternatively, tighten until it 'cracks' and back-off quarter-turn :wink:
