Which £2k Full Sus?

Advice needed.
I am in the market for a full suspension trail bike. This will be my first full sus bike and will be used for all round trail riding. I have £2k ish to spend....although it keeps going up! Being considered are Lapierre Zesty 214 & 314 (if I can get it at the right price) and the Whyte T-120.
The questions are: is it worth paying extra for the Zesty 314 instead of the 214? Secondly, T-120 OR Zesty? Thirdly any other bike recommended?
I like the idea of getting something different and designed here in the UK. However, the Zestys do get awesome reviews, but so does the Whyte!
Thanks all.[/b]

Have you considered the Specialized Camber Expert? 120mm travel but slacker angles than your typical trail FS bike so it's really stable. My missus has the Elite and it's a really nice ride and well-spec'd for the money.::'11 Pitch Pro::0

zesty 314 or giant trance x0

Obviously try and ride them both. But from looking at them on paper I'd find it hard to resist the Whyte.0

I have riden both as my LBS has demo versions of both the Zesty 314 and the Whyte T-120.
While the Lapierre has more travel for the downhill, the suspension system on the Whyte is more efficient - making it a better climber.
Both bikes are phenomenal, but I would go for the Whyte just to be a little different - Lots of people have the Lapierre.0 -
I have a Zesty and think it's great0

Whyte.
There is no substitute.0 -
I would also have to go with the Whyte
I have had a go of one and i totally agree that uphill pedalling is pretty good with it.
My mate has a 514 and it is brilliant (if a little too pricey) but a better buy for me would be the Whyte.Constantly trying to upgrade my parts. It is a long road ahead as things are so expensive for little gain. n+1 is always the principle in my mind.0 -
Have a look at a Trek Remedy 7. I just got mine in the Jan sales for under 2k, but it's normally 2.2. Rides better than an orange 5 and a lot less. Not sure about the other bikes above, but wouldn't hesitate getting another Remedy any day.0

I want a T-120. Local place that demos whytes doesn't have one yet. Grrrrr.Rock Lobster 853, Trek 1200 and a very old, tired and loved Apollo Javelin.0
