Best value "cheap" pedals

Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a cheap pair of pedals.
Specifically they're for a new fixed/ss that is just going to be used to ride around town (had enough of not enjoying my beer as I'm so worried about my bike outside!), so don't need or want anything fancy.

Toe clips are a must.

Buying clipless pedals seems so much easier...

I think these MKS AR-2s are the nicest platform pedals for road riding - used them on a couple of builds and they are very light & sturdy - lovely:
