I am about to buy some wheels for a new build and am cycling from Turin to Geneva in the summer taking in Col Du Glandon & Alpe d’Huez so want all the help up the hills, any thoughts on the easton ec90slx tubs verus dura ace 7850 cl clinchers and the importance of the 300g weight saving for the eastons?
Thanks.

Tubs on a journey like that is a total no no for me  Clinchers for ease of use trust me. Unless you have a support van with spare tubs etc following you a la pro team stylee.

    +1 to the above.

I personally wouldn't want to rub tubs on that distance.....

I love my tubs mind you for racing :)

Do you need deep section wheels?

How about the easton EA90SLX clinchers, at a bit under 1400g with ceramic bearings or soemthing similar?
