Fitting new rotors - Deore RT51's / Resin pads ?

I picked up some 160mm rotors from chain reaction to fit on my spare set of wheel but have a couple of questions.
The torx bolts - what size screwdriver do I need ? I'm popping into halfords tomorrow so was hoping to pick one up.
The disc say resin pads only ? I have standard deore pads are these ok ?
There are three little shims that look to join bolts together - do I need these ?
Thanks
Ian

Torx bolts need a torx driver. Halfords sell one with three ends.
Yes Deore pads are resin.
No idea. Presumably to shim the discs to make sure they are straight.I don't do smileys.

You need a Torx set not screwdriver. Halfords do some cheap ones if your stuck, it's a multi-tool with about 8 different sizes.Trek Fuel EX 8 (2010)0

Thanks,
I'll pick up a torx driver tomorrow.
The shims are a sort of half moon double ender, will post a pic tomorrow but Cooldad is probably right, shims for making sure discs are straight.0 -
they are lock tabs to stop the shimano rotor bolts rotating.
