Hello
After a big off where I ripped off rear mech and cable and smashed a shifter I've replaced
the mech hanger shifter and cable but wonder
do I need to cut the cable outer that goes from the frame
guide to the rear mech.
From memory it looks longer than my old one but
as it's somewhere on Mabie red route I dont know?
Mech and shifter are slx and frame is 19inch stumpjumper
Hardtail.
Cheers

You need to have as little loop as possible keeping in mind lowest friction and the need for a flowing line into the mech.0

if it shifts ok, then leave it, if you cant get it to index properly, then it might need shortening0

Disagree with that at the rear loop. Short as possible so it doesn't get tangled. Less bracken and twigs collected.0
