Hi All
I am putting together a (longish) shortlist of bikes around the £1,700 mark for a new purchase in the not-too-distant future. Any thoughts on ones I should consider that aren't already on the list (or ones to discount)? Bike will be for training, club runs, sportives, but not racing (probably).
I won't be buying another bike in the forseeable future, but would want to have a frame worthy of future upgrades. Groupsets/wheelsets vary in the list below according to what fits in the budget - frame is probably the main consideration, but don't want to go below 105-standard gruppo (and better would be nice). I haven't ridden any yet (but will) - and some are internet-only anyway.
