Sram X9 correct cable anchor point?

Have been messing with rear mech and undone cable without taking much notice where it was anchored.

Where does the cable anchor to? in the groove or under the washer/nut?

Have gone for the groove (see pic) as it seemed to fit and secure nicely in there but am i correct?

Could do with a quick answer as i`m off out in the morning and if i`m wrong can see me trying to index gears for the rest of the night!

    It sounds like you've done it correctly, as you say, under the 5mm allen key nut there is a groove for the cable to go and the washer sits on top and then you just tighten it up.

    Thanks, think it is right just wasn't sure if it secured directly under bolt rather than groove, only had my old shimano to compare with.
