in 2010, i bought a load of clothing etc.... two new bike builds, one of which i spent around £1600 on i think it was, one of which i already had most of the parts for, also spent money upgrading a bike which i then sold later on then petrol money, bike shop etc etc, i'd say somewhere between £2k and £2.5k....

EDIT: i spent £874 just on chain reaction last year... wow

Scott Spark 20 at the start of the year, various events during the year and a Tacx Fortius at the end of the year. This does not include new tires, intertubes etc.

Far too much money and I still need a new car.

    Maybe this year.

Including buying a entry level MTB, a few upgrades, replacement parts, and clothing, between £1.5 and £2K. Some of the gear is also useful for snowboarding, but even if it weren't: totally worth it :)
  • Another first year guy (well first year back anyway) so.

    £500 on the Kona Hoss
£350 on Reba teams, front wheel and other bits for the bike
£100 easy on tools and maintenance.
    £170 clothing and protective gear.

But i'll be blowing all that lot out of the water in Feb when i'll be buying a Cube AMS 130 team, hope the wife doesn't see the credit card bill for that month.

Around £800 in 2010 on components, kit, tools, new light etc. About £600 on a bikey holiday and probably a fair bit on petrol driving the bike around to various places.
  • i have only spent around £100-£200 this year so far but i am hoping to buy some new forks... does anyone know the steerer diameter of the manitou drake forks??

i'd say around £800, i built up a hardtail from scratch and i've bought a new chainset for my full suss, some new brakes and a few other bits and pieces, along with clothes and stuff i'd say it's around £800.

not too bad if you average it out over the year :D

Already placed my first orders of 2011 for just over of £100 on new gear cables and outers, chain, cassette, Royal jersey, chain whip and lockring removal tool. obviously I wont be spending near as much in 2011... unless I win a large sum of money of course.
  • Erm, according to my Wife, a couple of hundred quid but in reality - much, much, much more!!!!
