HI, i am starting time trialling in march and been looking at aero bars to clip to my normal bike. can any1 explain if there is a difference between getting ones with no angle at the end compared to straight ones? an the few fully curved round ones that i have seen?
also do you put bar tape on the end or just leave them be?

Different shapes to the extensions is all down to preference. Some people prefer straight. Personally I like a little 'S-bend' in mine! Your position on the bike will determine what feels best. Unfortunately, you won't know until you try (although *most* people don't use the fully straight ones).
Yes to bar tape on the ends - just makes it easier to hold onto them (but not an absolute necessity).0
