Hi,

I have just bought Shimano Ultegra 6700 Wheelset for christmas.

I have fitted the tyres/tubes and went to put the front wheel on and the ultegra skewer was too big for the forks. Therefore, a long piece of the skewer was hanging out beyond the end of the fork. I swapped the ultegra skewer to my normal one and this problem still occurred.

What should I do to solve this problem?
Is this Wheelset compatible with a - Specialized Allez Sport 27 2010?

Thanks,

  • Did you use the rear skewer by mistake? It's longer than the front one.

    +1.

That's the only thing it can be. If the other one is also too long they have supplied two rear skewers by mistake.
