New bike checks/adjustments?

Had my new Zesty for a couple of weeks and only managed 2 decent rides cos of the weather - I'm fully expecting the gears to need sorting soonish as things bed/stretch in.

Apart from checking bolts etc, what else should I be doing/checking/greasing/oiling on a new bike after a bedding in period other than the usual?

    Where did you get it from? Most shops offer a free 6 week checkover on new bikes. Is it a reasonably local bike shop, or was it bought online?

    It is an insurance replacement and I only had the choice of wheelies in south Wales. Too much of a jaunt to go there for me. Hence wanting to do it myself.
