Hi, I've just picked a 2008 Kona Stuff and am finding the riding postion very crunched up for my ape like frame (long arms, short legs),so maybe a longer stem is in order, can anyone tell me what diameter I need?
Also I was thinking of fitting a three chainring crank is it do-able?

Cheers

Steerer will be 1 1/8th, as for the bar end, easy to tell the difference between the 2 options of 25.4mm and 31.8mm with a ruler!

  • To use a ruler I'd need bloody long arms the bike is at home 200 miles away and I'm working away till friday,i only asked because it would be easier to get a stem while I'm here so I can have a comfortable christmas day ride rather than waiting uintil the shops open after.
  • Most bike use the 31.8mm the variant and on a jumpy/hardcoe bike like the stuff I'd say it was definitely 31.8mm
  • Thanks.

Oversize (=31.8mm) stem......now you could have done that!
