Floating rotors

I want to get some new rotors for my bike, and have found a good deal on the hope floating rotors. Will I have problems if I use a 183mm rotor with a 185mm brake?

it will work fine as long as your brakes are suitable, not all work with Hope floaters.

Be aware certain brake brands will be a very tight fit because the hope rotor is wider where the floating links join the rotor to the 'spider'. I had this issue with my formula oro's. Admittedly a tart choice as I only ever have opportunity to heat my brakes up excessively on a handful of descents I ride. A bit of careful sanding of the rotor adapter gave me the mm I needed to make them fit though
