Hi,
Looking for a new wheelset for my bike (Ram xc.3), I am doing a lot of racing next year so as light as possible sub 1600g would be good, I'm a light rider 60kg so don't need to be too tough but will need to stand up to racing and pretty rough trails. Realistically have a £200 budget could stretch to £250. Will also be running tubeless so tubeless rim would be great.
Any suggestions much appreciated
Cheers
Dan

If you can stretch for the Hope Hoops, some Pro II's on Stan's rims sound ideal0

Do you know the cheapest place to get them? stans crest or 335 seem to be out of stock most places0

No Hope hubs (A good thing IMO), closer to your budget and they still have Stans Rims.

Not quite sure if these might be a little outside your budget, but they would definitely be worth it. Novatec hubs are the same as Superstar (same factory). The rims are similar to Stan's and are well regarded in mainland Europe.
I know, the website is in German, but they're very helpful via email in English.
They have other light wheels that are within your budget even including postage, but these are excellent vfm right now.0 -

Is that saying that the set is 1.3kg? Cause that is silly light for that money. And now you know, and knowing is half the battle

These got a good review in the latwest WMB.At £212 they are a bit ofa bargain given the low weight.

They were icncluded in the Budget wheel test, and got 3/5.Reading the review the only thing they seemed to be marked down for was their narrowness, which isn`t going to be an issue on a race bike.
Scored well on build and overall quality.
At 1620g they are the lightest ones featured.2006 Giant XTC
