CUBE Agree GTC SL

Am in the process of trying numerous bikes before my carbon purchase. I was looking at the Spec Tarmac Expert, Giant TCR Advanced and Felt F3 - I have taken all but the Felt for a good spin.
Yesterday I came across a store that had some CUBE bikes. Having not seen them in the flesh before they look really good. I noticed the Agree GTC SL was within the budget I had set myself, in fact, it was very well priced at £2200 for a bike that had a Dura-Ace gs and Fulcrum Racing 5's (not the best but still ok).
My question is why is the bike so cheap compared to other brands? Looking at the spec for the CUBE online now I would imagine that something similar on a Trek or Spec would push it past the 3K mark.
Am I wrong in thinking that the frame quality is not as good as the Spec, Giant and Felt?
Thanks in advance
Mark.

  • The frames are every bit as good as the big names.

You should have a go on one and see what you think of it - we sell tons of GTC Agree's here which is odd as we are known as an MTB shop although this is changing as some of us really do like tight clothes....

The main reason Cube seem to be more competitive is they plan production and currency far in advance and therefore budget more sensibly. No one there is greedy.

Plus - the others are so expensive as they get ripped apart at end of season in stupid sales.
Cubes sell out early in the season.

Find a local dealer and ride any of the GTC Agrees to feel how good the frame is.

Also check out De Rosa R838...

I wouldn't do the De Rosa R838 - way over priced - same frame as Ribble Stealth but almost twice the price for the same spec - £1150 v £1999 so about £850 for a De Rosa paint job!
