Was playing gt5 yesterday, and the ps3 froze in the middle of the race, and turned itself off. I just thought-inturuption in the power etc, and left it. I turned it back on later to go on i player, and the same thing happened again. This time, if you try and turn it on, the green light goes yellow, and then it turns off. Ive got insurance, so that wont be too bad, but gt5 is still stuck inside! Help!

if you open it you void the insurance.... and they wont send it back. I lost fifa 2010 that way!

Its the 60gb version. I spoke to continuous play today and they say there getting me a replacement for monday. They say they can get gt5 out, but ive got to wait THREE WEEKS!

Ive lost 3 yrs of gameplay data too-i cant put the hard drive in my mates ps3 to get the data off because its encrypted to the motherboard.

  • I had the same problem last year, mine was an original 60gb and was out of warranty, no insurance etc.. Got terrible customer service when I rung up, spoke to managers and everything and they ended up sending me a replacement one for free, so worked out good in the end.

My cod4 was stuck inside, they quoted me 6 weeks before I got it back, and said that it might not be even possible to send it back! Luckily it turned up after about 4 weeks I think. So you might be in for a bit of a wait.
