Sentbox & Outbox...

This may well be a horribly obvious question, but what's the deal with the PM sentbox and outbox?

I've sent a few PM's recently which sit in the Outbox for a few hours (sometimes longer) then eventually move to the Sentbox.

I thought PM's were just sent, and that was the end of it? :?:

They sit in your Outbox until they get read, then move to the Sentbox. Simple.
