Fox Float 2006, lock out no longer working??

Recently the lock out on my rear can stopped working, I gave it a basic can service in the summer and it worked perfect for another 6 months. Now the lock out function is not working, I'm not too sure if the pro-pedal is working either (I don't use it much so can't tell difference); I think it may not be.

Anyone had this happen and is there simple a fix, or does it need a deep service / parts change?

Many thanks any guidance. Cheers

Needs to be sent away for a full service, I recommend TFTuned.
  • Cheers I know of TF Tuned, but never used them, they're cheaper than MOJO I think.

So what's the actual cause of lock out failure? can it be fixed by simple means at home, rather not spend out £70+ right now.

If I remember the internals of a Fox shock, the compression circuits are deep down inside the shock. And also have a nitrogen charged chamber in there.

The only thing you can service on a Fox (at home) is the air sleeve - i.e. if it leaks the air that you pump into it - you replace the seals - and the shock bushes and reducers to fit the frame.

The rest is not ordinarily accessible, you need the equipment and the knowledge.

If you don't want to shell out, live without the lockout. Last I had a bike with a lockout, I ended up never using it, if you teach yourself how to pedal properly (as long as in the seat, standing up is different) you may find out that you just don't need it.
