Evening all. My brother is looking at yt-industries Play bike. It has 24" wheels however and he and myself, would like to know if these can be converted to 26" wheels. I think the front wheel might be ok, since it is a RS Sektor but I don't know if the rear wheel will have enough clearance. I looked through the gallery for the bike and the fourth picture, although at an angle, looks like a 26" wheel might not fit, or if it does there would be very little clearance. Does anyone own one of these bikes or know if replacing the 24" wheels with 26" ones is possible?

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

Well if the picture is of the bike with 24" wheels on, it doesn't look like there this the clearance for a 26".
Even if there was room for one on the back and you changed the fork it would seriously screw the whole bike. I don't think that the rear suspension would work with a larger wheel and a fork for 26" wheel would be longer so the handling would be crap aswell.

why would you want to change the wheels on a kids bike?

What do you think you would gain?

a 26 wheel will not fit in the rear.

RS do not offer an aftermarket 24" fork but they may offer an OE one so ask the seller.

but if you are considering spending (or having the Rents) spend that much money on a bike you may as well get the right one that does not need more money throwing at it.
