ended up with a pair of hope am4's laced to mavic ex721 rims and would like to run tubelessly.
Is the stans yellow tape enough to do this with stans sealant?

I don't think so no, these rims do not have any tubeless ready compatibilty. I think you need the full ghetto job with the full size rim strips for this.0
