Help! xmas present idea day out

My husband is a keen moutain biker-has been riding for about 7 years now-and will go out some sundays in a group, and also they go to Wales every year for a weekend.
I was thinking of buying him a day out where he can maybe step on his skills although Im sure he is good already.
Ive done abit of googling but not getting much and was worried that he might find the day course too easy
We live in London, so no more than an hour or so drive away too
Any ideas please?
