I recently bought an old patriot frame off ebay for £36 that needed a lot of work, new shock mount, crack in swing arm and rear brake mount missing. But I thought for £36 its worth a go. This is what I found when the frame turned up.......

Iv cut the old shock mount out and decided im going to make it adjustable with a shock shuttle which im in the process of making.

Im thinking of paintng the main frame and dropouts luminous orange, and the the rest of the swing arm black or leaving it in white primer?

  • I'd spray the whole of the swingarm in Orange, it'd look great. Poor frame looks like it's had a hard life. Looks better with the shock mount removed. Fair play for giving it a go.

Yeah it was in a state when i got it, would of loved to have got an undamaged one but funds are tight so thought id try and do something with this one.
The colour looks pretty good just not sure if it would be too much for the whole bike?
