I crashed hard the other day and I've just discovered play in the Deore BB (Deore cranks took a hefty whack and I think the BB was on it's way out. 6 months hard use sounds about right).

Anyway I need a quick replacement and fancied an upgrade and wondered if the XT BB (cups in paritcular) go with the Deore crankset?

Reading CRC description says:
Bottom bracket cups that fit XT/SLX M770/660 Cranksets
which says No to me. Is that the case?

In which case what do you reckon to Superstar's AEROZINE (SKF Bearing) HTII Bottom Bracket as an alternative?

(and yes I know that last bit should be in the buying section, but I'm here)

Yup and should last about 50% longer- Deore ones have pretty basic sealing.

I've had a look at the deore today and it wasn't good. all manner of fluid and sludge came out when i cracked it open and the plastic rubbery sealing flapping about. I've been looking at the XT bearing re-greasing, and or, upgrade / replacement stuff on the web which seems like a decent option when that wears.

anyway, i'll go and snag that 10% at crc. ta both.
