I use a roll of rubber sheeting that I bought from a DIY store. It's about 3m by 1m and meant to cover the floor in a workshop or something. I'm not sure it deadens the sound much as it's very hard rubber.
I've heard of people using yoga mats which would probably be better.0 -

go down an equine suppliers and buy a stable matter - tougher and deaden the roller noise much better - SCATS if there is one near you0

yep, but it's right onto the rough concrete floor
i just use them to cut down noise transmission, actually hadn't thought about people using the turbo in more salubrious surroundings where full cover might be needed for the sake of the floor!my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
