gears and changing gears
edited November 2010
hi i have a giant hybrid . i want to know what are good gears for climbs . what exactly are low gears and high gears what is cadence. this is all technical jargon for me. could somebody help break it up for me please. thanks appu
Little ring at front + big sprocket at rear = lowest gear (easiest to push)
Big ring at front + little sprocket at rear = highest gear (hardest to push)
Cadence = how fast you are pedalling (revs per minute)
Use your gears to keep your legs turning at a comfortable cadence rather than grinding a huge gear up a hill.
