Repositioning shifters

My partner fell off her bike today (she's not badly hurt, and neither is the bike!), and the shifters on one side have twisted round so they're pointing inwards. They won't force back into the correct place - or at least I'm not strong enough to force them - so I assume we need to take them off and put them back on again.
Can anyone tell me how to do that?
It's a Shimano triple, the one with the little thumb lever to change onto the smaller rings. I can't remember what it's called. It's one step down from Tiagra.
There's a small screw on the back, so I'm thinking if I undo that I'll be able to get into the workings of it and probably take it off from there. Is that correct?

There's a little clamp attached to the shifter that wraps around your bars. Should be a bolt in the middle of it that when loosened will loosen the grip on the bars.
The clamp is basically at the rear centre of the shifter.
Check this tech doc - and look at item '6' - that is the clamp and bolt.

Hope that's what you need.0 -
The allen bolt to tighten/loosen the whole lever from the bars is located here.

^---- what he shows is better. Shows how to access the bolt. Well done!0

That's brilliant, thanks. It looks a lot easier than I thought it would be. I'll have a go at that tomorrow when it's light.0

'Tis indeed a simple job.0

Don't undo it completely though - just enough to move the lever back round into position.0
