Flite Genuine Gel to SLR XP

Currently got a Selle Italia Flite Genuine Gel from 2004. Going to swap this to winter bike & have a new saddle for best bike. Thinking of going to an SLR XP. Question is would I notice much difference? I'm thinking that Selle Italia saddles are much the same in their shape & I don't have any problems with discomfort on the Flite but naturally would like to drop a bit of weight from the bike. Not really interested in trying other brands.
Anybody changed from an older generation Selle Italia to a newer one?
