Hi,
I'm after some info on the Cannondale headshock bike. I am in the enviable position of needing a new bike to replace my 12 y.o. MOngoose hardtail. I do mainly fire roads and long exploratory rides in the Australina bush with the occasional foray into groomed singletrack and enduro racing (twice a year). I can get a good deal on the '09 F3 which has the 80mm headshock. I love the idea of the headshock but anm concerned about its abilioty on technical singletrack and enduros (noting that Cadel Evans won a world cup on one in the early 2000's).
The competition for this bike in my mind is a BMC tO3 (same price much better spec - all XT) and the Giant xtc 29er. More expensive...rides fantastically on singletrack.
My last question is the frame and fork woth the money - as for the same price I can get the BMC which I imagine is probably much lighter as well....
advice is appreciated!

I'd look to see who services cannondale headshox out in AUS, if they're not particularly reputable then i'd avoid it because the cannondale headshox/lefties need fairly regular maintenance.0
