I need a winter jacket, something windproof but breathable & with some waterproofing though to be honest I don't mind if it's not 100% waterproof as I do tend to get a bit sweaty anyway. Dont really want to spend much more than £70
Looked at the usual online shops but there are so many options I don't know which ones are any good.
One that does keep coming up is the Endura Windchill, is this any good?

If you don't mind looking a bit odd, then there might be some Buffalo pile and pertex clothing that will work. Or Montane equivalents. I know people who swear by them - they are not technically waterproof, but very wind resistant.

I use a paramo jacket off* the bike here - here and here are bikeradar reviews of their technology outside your price range, but lasts a long time - I still use a jacket that I have heavily used since 1992.

This uses a similar approach, and is cheaper, but still outside your price range ( and looks even odder)

*As I mainly commute on my bike, I have a high viz montane stormrider jacket that I bought at a discount for cycling (using eVent fabric, which is more breathable than gore-tex - but even so the paramo stuff is far more breathable).
  • I just bought a Madison telegraphe jacket for the winter from Petra Cycles. Very happy with the cut and fit and even happier with the price, currently £66. Delivered quickly and no issues.

I wanted a jacket I could use on and off the bike and liked the idea of the removable hood.

Parimo also do the same thing.
Buffalo are amazing, had mine 13 years and its still good. Agree that it is not strictly waterproof but it has always looked after me.
Don't think you will get it for under £100 though.

Tried Montane coats? Had one that packed dopwn to virtually nothing but was waterproof and windproof. Not sure of name but got it in Evans for about £45

alternately RAB do some good 'shells' for around the 50-70 mark. Got a couple of them and they are pretty good.
Try 'Go Outdoors' website-it has stacks of things.
