I'm building up a touring bike and am now considering cables. I've used Transfil Mudlovers on my other touring bikes with perfectly satisfactory results, but with new cables to buy for the new bike am curious how the Mudlovers fare against the Gore Ride On sealed ones. THe Gore ones are considerably more expensive, but are they twice as good as well? The touring bike I am building is going to be my best one and i am happy to pay for good stuff - but on the other hand, I don't want to throw money away either.

As yet I've had no complaints about the Mudlovers.

Any input welcome.

Shimano SP41 outer with XTR cables works superbly. I've used full lengths of this on my recent build and it shifts very sweetly.

I've used the Gore Ride-on for over a year now without problem or maintenance. They are still as smooth as when I fitted them but my next build will be using the near identical Goodridge at a lesser price.
