Has anyone got any first hand experience of these boys that they could pass on? I know the specs and what they look like, but it's proving harder to actually throw a leg over the buggers.
Would be looking to use as a winter training bike and for the occasional CX race.
Thanks for any feedback

It doesn't get any easier, but I don't appear to be getting any faster.

I've got a Planet X Uncle John, similar price to those, and rate it very very highly.
But if it was from those 3 it would have to be the CAAD....Cannondale know what they are doing with Aluminium!0 -
I'd love to know the answer as well but it would be impossible for anyone in the UK to have test riden a CAADX - they are simply vapourwear at the moment.
The Boardman looks nice for the money - BB30 and all, and the Cubes are well thought of tho not easy to get. I know one guy with the cheaper black one (the white one is £1300-1400) and he likes it.
The Cube has a much higher BB than say, a Genesis Vapour, which is very much a heavy-built road frame. If you stay on the road the Genesis is a good bet.
I tried to test ride the Boardman and 2 shops this past weekend and neither of them had it... Seems CX is in a bit of a renaissance at the moment. When a cyclist has a disagreement with a car; it's not who's right, it's who's left.0 -
They all seem to get very good reviews.
The Boardman is hard to get as they are on the run out for 2010 and 2011 is not yet announced - good thinking there.
I can order a CAADX or Cube but it would be taking a bit of a punt to do it blind.
I do hope CX isn't going all fixie trendyIt doesn't get any easier, but I don't appear to be getting any faster.0 -

Not if people use them for their purpose - they'll soon get fed up with a couple of hours cleaning between races each week0
