Hit,
Can anyone recommend any good mountain bike rentals and/or guides in Kuala Lumpur, Cameron Highlands or Penang?

    Not quite sure if this is the sort of guiding you had in mind but I was consiering a job offer in Singapore earlier in the year....so MTBing was one of the considerations. Jungle biking in Malaysia seemed to be big...

    Thanks, looks great but unfortunately it's in the Borneo part of Malaysia.

    Hi atoll,

    I'm a mountainbiker from Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur to be more precise. You can't really get decent bikes from bike rentals in Malaysia. If you plan on riding here, best to bring your own or otherwise bring your gear and buy a new bike here! Like what 2 Danish guys did a couple of years back when they came over to spend 2 weeks riding here with us. Seems bikes are a lot cheaper here....

    And yes, mountain biking is quite a big thing here and getting bigger. We have got plenty of trails that you can ride all year round with no access problem to worry about. Simple XC trails and technical ones that challenges your biking skills.
