Using 2010 veloce levers on one bike which allows small adjustment to front mech to avoid chain rub.

Recently upgraded my other bike from xenon levers to the new 2011 veloce levers and for some reason these levers wont allow for any trimming at all? As soon as I press the thumb button it shifts down to the small ring?

Anyone able to tell me why or suggest a reason for it? Has something changed from 2010 to 2011 or is it something in the set up.

Cheers

your cable is either too losse or too tight.

when on the little front ring feel how tight the cable is, if slack, tighten it on the down tube adjuster, a

when on the boig front ring, if the cable is very tight, as above, but slacken ita abit

a bit means halfa turn or so

Thanks mate. Just be clear (complete amateur) where/what is the downtube adjuster?

  • Try holding the lever over at the same time as pressing the button, then let go of the lever. Its seem to allow you the same short shifts down that you get on the way up.

    Seems to work for me.
