I'm thinking of buying these for my Mk 6 golf. Does anyone own them and if so what exactly do I need to set it up?

Cheers

  • If you check on here it'll tell you all the bits you need for your car:

    http://www.thule.com/en-GB/GB/FitGuide.aspx#

Then just try shopping around as you can get some decent discounts on the RRP of the Thule kit.
  • I've 2 of these on my Laguna. They're 1 of the best 3 cycling items I've ever bought. It takes seconds to get the bike on the carrier and it's stress free.

Just don't do what my brother-in-law did. Drive through a Tesco height restriction barrier with 2 bikes on the roof.

    On 2 separate occasions.

    Hi,

PM'd you as I have a set of 591's which i am about to sell if you are interested.
  • I bought mine from http://www.roofracks.co.uk/ and just followed the instructions - it tells you everything you need for the model car - bars, feet and fitting kit.

I got the standard bars due to cost, but would probably get the aero ones next time as mine are pretty noisy on the motorway.

    Cheers for the replies.

I'm going to be buying them next year at some point for a Scotland trip i'm planning. Thanks again
