This is a better buy, but the Carrera is very highly rated.

I think that is debatable :)

The Fury is an excellent bike for the money, excellent value. The only thing is that halfords often have deals on and the Fury can often be had for about £70 less if you were willing to wait for a 'sale'.

The fury can be had for £130 less though when halfords have the "sales".

Both true, but it isn't at that price at the moment

When the Fury is reduced another £100 or so then it's almost impossible to beat.

  • I have a Fury, highly recommended. Served me very well down all sorts of trails.

I only paid £440 for mine from Halfords so I would advise you wait for a sale!

I looked at one of these and definitely wish i could afford one, lovely looking bike, good weight and a good spec.
They knock another 10% off at the basket so only £540 at the moment, go for it, no matter what bike you get, one of the shops will have it cheaper a few months after you buy it anyway! The law of the sod.

  • +1 for the fury, although i am biased.

Done me well so far (albeit with a few upgrades).

Cracking value at £650. Not a £1k bike when you consider you can get a Boardman pro HT for the same money, that's better specced.

At £650 it's way better than current offerings from the likes of Spesh and Giant et al.
Cool, retro and sometimes downright rude MTB and cycling themed T shirts. Just MTFU.

I had problems at 1st with pinch punctures.
I changed the inner tubes, a bit of slime and got advised on the right pressures for my approx weight etc.
I use it for commute and MTB and no problem with grip and its used in different conditions.
The bike is balanced well .
If you can wait for sale it could be worth it for you.
