Just got some Shimano MW80 MTB Cycling Shoes
I'm normally a 43, but took a chance on 45s and they fit perfectly
Surprisingly no covers on the sole where the cleats fit
Never been keen on spds, do you have to use cleats with them or can I get away with riding them on flat pedals?

Don't know why you bought SPD's if you don't want SPD's!

They come with stickers to go over the inside of the shoe but no, they don't come with something to block the hole where the SPD goes, whats the point of having SPD's?

Just use them as SPD's mate. Buy multi release cleats, they're awesome.
    Specialized Rockhopper Comp 2009.

    Thanks for the response
Pretty new to MTB, only started in the spring
Have tried spds before but felt uneasy
Didn't know about multi release cleats, they sound just right.
Will invest in some and give it a whirl agan
Wanted some waterproof boots for the winter, memories of cold wet feet earlier this year and should have looked into it a bit more.
    Thanks again
