Planet X Carbon Fork Bung Aluminium sleeve
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone on here has used one of the Planet X Carbon Fork Bung 'Centre Pull', and if so did you use the aluminium sleeve that comes with it. I dont quite get the idea of the sleeve, (other than taking up slack), as I always imagined that the knurled surface of the bung is supposed to engage with the carbon fibre as the bolt is tightened, the fitting of an alumium sleeve would prevent this from happening.

That's a shim. It means that the expander can fit multiple sizes of steerer. It's most likely that the actual expander is designed for 1" forks, and the shim takes it up to 1 1/8".0
