Hi
A colleague has a Trek Fuel 95 frame from 2004. He has offered to build it up to be as close to a working bike as he can possibly get using his old spare parts. He will sell me the bike at a cheap price but he has concerns that the bike might be too big for me and he doesn't want to sell me a bike that is inappropriate for me.
My current steed is a 19" Rockhopper 2010 sl and it seems to fit fine although i wouldn't really know a good fitting bike from a bad fitting one. I am 5'10.5" tall and I think i have a 32" inner leg based on the trousers that fit me.
Will this bike be suitable? Will the frame be a better platform than my existing Rockhopper 2010?
Cheers

They weren't all that when new, and it's now far from new, so I'd be reluctant unless it's super cheap.
I'm very slightly shorter than you with similar length legs and I've got an 18.5" Top Fuel, so the 19.5 should be fine, although the top tubes on the older ones were rather long, you may have to fit a relatively short stem.0 -
See if he can lend it to you to try it out. Only way if you don't understand or know what geo you want/need.0
