Front Mech Advice

Hi, I have a Cotic Soul frame arriving on Monday which I will be building up with the parts from my current full suspension. The only issue is my current front mech wont fit on the soul so I need to purchase a new one.
Can anybody recommend me a good from mech? I was going to get an XT one but I have noticed an SLX one for a good price and was wondering what peoples thoughts on these were? Anybody know of any good deals at the moment?

Shifting wise they will be pretty much identical - the XT should last longer though.
Make sure you get the correct swing, pull and clamp size though.0 -
I think i will get an XT one in that case. I know what pull and clamp size I want but was not sure about the swing.
I am assuming I need a conventional swing?0 -
Not sure! I imagine both will fit fine, but best to double check incase there is bottle bosses etc in the way.0

Try 1x9 or 1x10 and drop the front mech all together. It's quite flat where you are so chances are it's all the gears you may need. Sounds mad but it actually works and make riding more enjoyable.0
