As a long suffering Civil Servant, staring down the barrel of potential voluntary redundancy, i've decided to reward myself with a Caad9.
Thing is, i'm kinda torn between

and

i'm not too keen on the stealth black scheme of the 105, and would probably want to replace the wheels to "keep up" with the quality of the frame, so the ultegra makes a bit more sense?

Any Caad9 owners out there care to proffer an opinion or two?

I got the Liquigas colour some time ago and I don't regret it for a second.

I was going to go for black until I saw them both in the shop. If you do the same you'll probably agree with me.

From a few feet away the black could be any old £50 hack frame off ebay. Just didn't appeal to me at all.

I have the Liquigas colour, and it looked so much better than the black in the LBS. I was concerned that it might be seen as a bit pretentious, but the number of people who have commented about its looks blow that away!

I thought I wanted a black bike and was slightly put out when I had to get a white one (both the final candidates were white).

But now I think my old black hybrid just looks like a tatty old bike (which it is to be fair!) but the shiny white new road bike looks fab. Get the white one! :)

That CAAD10 though doesn't look available until Dec-February. Looks great though.

Are you sure the CAAD9 is still available? The link you posted has all models/sizes as sold out?

The Fulcrum 7's are the bottom rung of the Fulcrum ladder, so I don't think you're getting better wheels on the Ultegra bike.

I'd also agree with the other posters that you can get a better deal elsewhere.

The links were for illustrative purposes.
the last 24 hours "research" have shown that Caad9s are now pretty scarce, so i'm just gonna wait for the Caad10.
    Thanks for all the posts.
