Garmin Edge 500

Any advice would be most welcome.

If I buy a Garmin Edge 500 (standard edition, no HR strap or speed/cadence sensor) can I later, when funds allow, buy the HR strap and speed sensor and expect them to work?

    Yes, but by far the cheapest way to do it is to buy a package. Handtec are usually the cheapest for Garmins.
    More problems but still living....

    Thanks, fast and correct. They are £55 cheaper than Chain Reaction for the full beans version at only £170.
