How many are made??

Hello all,
I'm looking at splashing out on a Specialized Roubaix Expert 2011 and currently saving up hard, I'm past credit cards and bank loans, if I cant afford it I dont have it.

My question is how many of each model do you think the big suppliers produce? My LBS have already sold two of the model I want, they have no indication from Specialized about how many will be made and I dont want to leave it too late and end up with a ex demo one.

I know the answer is splash now and pay on credit but looking at converting garage into secure bike store so that has too be paid for 1st!

Just seeing if anyone has any ideas of numbers of each bike produced.

Thanks in advance,
Andy

hard to put a number on it, but suppliers and manufacturers have learned from lessons of years past and are eager to ensure there are no over-stocking issues - basically if you are a common size (54 / 56) then expect to be in a position where you are scratching around for dealers with stock later in the season

    - then the new models come out and you are waiting for them to come in (which invariably measn they will be lower spec / higher price or all of the above!)

2011 models have only been in the shops a month or so, so shouldn't expect a shortage until next June - for Specialized this means a good few thousand bikes of each model.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
