ARRGG!! I'm gutted!! After tones of research and advice I was desperate to get a Boardman HT Team. Then I saw 10% off and was gonna upgrade to the PRO only to discover I can't use my blinkin' Cyclescheme voucher at Halfords!!

Any advice on what to get now with similar spec. I got £900 to spend.

Cheers.

Check out an On One Carbon Whippet, little over your budget but excellent value at the moment.
  • Where abouts can it be used? Find out and then see what is on offer at those places. this will let you start to make informed decissions.

The voucher can be used practically anywhere that accepts cyclescheme vouchers so I'm not tied to a specific bike shop.

I do like the look of Cube & can pick up a Ltd Team 2010 for £800, not the cheapest I've seen it at but ok. The spec just seems way less than the Boardman to me, am I being unrealistic?

Given the choice I'd go settle for a Ltd Race 2010 but can't seem to source one locally, all seem to be sold out now, making room for the 2011 bikes which, naturally, seem under spec'd for the price.

BTW I'm lovin the look of the On-One Carbon Whippet. Never heard of 'em but looks the bizz.

Will investigate further, anymore suggestions like this would be v-welcome

    Cheers!

I'm still looking at Cubes and may well have to go for the LTD PRO. The spec seems ok but I'm not familiar with the fork: Manitou Minute LTD 100mm, Air Assist, Remote-Lockout.

I know Manitou have been around for ages but can anyone comment on this actual fork?

    Cheers.

    Which Cube did you buy?
  • Not sure where you`re from but there`s a Cube stockist near me, twelve50 bikes in Frodsham, I know they had 2010 models of various bikes at knock down prices, might be worth speaking to Matt to see what he has left.

I have this exact bike at the moment, and I personally love the forks for the price range of bike they came in on. Good smooth travel, quite nice looking, not stupidly heavy and the lockout is extremely nice for climbing.

I will say if you get this bike you won't be disappointed, especially for the price!

....the more I look at it the more I'm almost convinced to go for the LTD PRO.

Mountain Monster, does the Manitou fork have motion control?

I've also found a 2010 LTD TEAM. It has a RS Recon and Formula RX Brakes.

    Decisions, decisions........
