Diluting gels

Bought a couple of gels is it alright to dilute them in a water bottle for ease of use? Or is it better to take them neat and glug loads of water with them?
A feather is kinky, a whole chicken is just perverse.

    think you are supposed to glug them, and then drink around 500ml of water afterwards

    I don't know how well they'd respond to diluting, I'd take neat and drink. You don't need a whole bottle with each.
