Brake hose replacement problems

Got the new Clarks hydro hose this morning, but got a few problems...(brake is a Juicy 5)
The olive at the lever doesn't seem to fit on the hose, the rubber that covers the hose (braided hose) seems to be slightly too wide?
And can't seem to remove this part, is it removable?
Starting to wish I had just bought the complete Clarks kit :x
Cheers
