Hello there,
I've a very long narrow head  Although I love my bikes my helmet is a mushroom -head cheapo as it's the only thing that fits my narrow but long head shape (it looks like my mum bought it for me).
Any thoughts on brands that fit this head shape?
Cheers!
Arrrrr I be in Devon.

I have a Kask K.10, which is an excellent lid. Very comfortable and well made.

Helmets are are a very personal preference but the Kask up 'n' down retention system may allow you to get a good fit as the rear cradle can be moved right down to the nape of your neck. If you have a 'long' head this may be of use.

It's quite a low profile design too, so you won't have to worry about looking like your Mam bought you a mushroom like helmet.

    +1 to that

Most helmets I have ever tried (bell, giro, spesh, Met and countless others) used to pinch my forehead when tightened enough to feel secure around the sides (that would suggest a long narrow head - right?).

Tried loads and loads until I found the K10 in a Holborn CycleSurgery and it was a revelation. The retention system is very different and superbly comfortable and the helmet, while unisize, was a good fit for my head shape - ended up getting it from ProBikeKit as CycleSurgery only had the "Team Sky" colours.

    Definitely worth a try.
