Winter boot

Now the wet weather is upon us.
Which shoe/boot will you be using to keep you feet dry whilst out on the trails.
Are there any products out there which are 100% waterproof?

Not contemplated cracking them out yet this season, but I splashed out on a set of Lake MXZ302 winter boots back in January and my feet were toasty and warm through all that lovely weather. Though the cuff doesn't fit quite as tight as maybe it could so in really heavy rain you might get damp feet. (But they'd still be warm...).
If it's more than a few degrees above freezing you'd be too hot in them, though. The MX140s look like a better bet when it's not actually icy.0 -
I've got the specialized ones (defrosters?) and they're a bit mince.
The ankle velcro leaves a massive gap for the water to get in, whence it just slooshes about unable to escape from its waterproof confines.
The fit is pretty tight (compared to exactly the same size of spesh summer shoes), which isn't ironically that much of a problem because your feet are so freezing they never swell up!
Those Lake ones look very cool, with a much slimmer fitting ankle.0 -
I've also got Specialized Defroster, had to go size bigger than normal so I could wear winter socks. The keep me warm most of the time (only in the sub zero stuff last winter did my feet get too cold!), but the neoprene collar\strap at the top does not seal well enough to keep water out.Somewhere in the Surrey Hills :-)0

Shimano MW80s - not quite as industrial as some of the options but then I wear XC type race shoes Spring - Autumn and don't like bigger boots.
Comfy, toasty and very waterproof (unless you really soak the neoprene cuff)
