specalized sl2 tarmac wheel replacement help?

Hi everyone im new on here, been riding for a few years now. I after some advice i had a great job in london so bought a specalized sl2 about a year ago (my pride and joy) but i lost my job 6 months ago and loads of crap happened and i buggered off traveling for a bit and left my bike with my mate, he had the bike locked up but some ba**ard stole my wheels! so what i want to know is what wheels should i buy, im not doing great money wise at the moment but i know i cant just put anything on it! so please help me with some advice / ideas
(oh and the bike was'nt covered in his house hold insurance as he didnt tell them about it.
