Mudguards to fit Rockshox dart 3?

I'm after some front and rear mudguards after doing a bit of riding recently and getting a load of mud and gritty stuff spraying up everywhere!
I've heard that fork mounted options are best, but that there isn't a universal fit mudguard.
I've got the Rockshox dart 3 forks on a Rockhopper 2010, so I was wondering if anyone knew which mudguards would fit them.
Also, do you agree with the advice I was given about fork mounted mudguards, or are the alternatives just as good or better?
I was looking at the SKS Shockboard at the front and the SKS X Blade Rear at the back, but I'm obviously open to other suggestions and any opinions on these!
Thanks in advance.

sks shockboard is about as good as it gets for the front (i use one) and the fork crown mounted ones (or moto-cross style guard) offer the best coverage. they just aren't very popular because of the looks.
the crud raceguard i prefer over the sks rear guard in both functionality and looks.0 -
I had an SKS Shockblade on a Dart 3, so I can attest that it fits. You should check the attachment after every ride though, otherwise, IME, it can work loose over time and drop itself onto the front wheel at a most inopportune time.0

yeh, same for the shockboard, don't be afraid to tighten the crown fitting up tight (but don't go past finger tip white tight). it'll stay like that through a good few heavy rides if you do0

Thanks you two - exactly the sort of info I'm after.0
